General Information about Moreh

Moreh is a city located on the Myanmar border in the Tengnoul District of Manipur. The city is home to a large number of mainly Kuki tribes and Tamil, Nepali, Punjabi, Telugu, Bihari, Marwari and Muslim Paglion. Moreh plays an important role in relation to Myanmar relations and on the other side of the border there is also a trade point developed with the city.

Moreh is already a huge business center, and economists have suggested that it can become a bustling city in the next few decades. The city is already seen as the gateway of India for Manipur’s capital and South-East Asia.
